Which Cutlery Samples Should a Buyer Request? A Scope Sheet
· Yumingxing

The cover is a generated editorial illustration, not a Yumingxing sample shipment, tested item or specific catalogue SKU.
“Please send samples” leaves a supplier guessing whether the buyer needs an existing-model reference, a finish comparison, a logo proof or a complete packed set. Before requesting cutlery samples, write down which decision each sample must support. This scope sheet is for the request stage; it does not replace the later acceptance and approval record.
Yumingxing’s buying process asks buyers to agree feasibility, quotation, MOQ and the sample route before bulk approval. Its RFQ guide asks for the model, set composition, material, finish, logo and packaging requirements. These inputs tell the supplier what kind of sample to discuss, but do not establish availability, sample fee or timing for a particular model.
Write one row per comparison question
| Request field | Buyer should specify |
|---|---|
| Decision to make | Shape and handling, component material, finish, logo placement or packed presentation. |
| Reference identity | Model or drawing, exact knife/fork/spoon pieces and the revision being considered. |
| Requested form | Existing reference piece, proposed branded proof or complete packed set; ask what is feasible. |
| Comparison basis | Which other sample or approved specification it will be compared against. |
| Evidence needed | Physical sample, controlled photo, dimensions or supplier information appropriate to the question. |
| Logistics and owner | Destination, recipient, target decision date, and who records the result. |
For example, a buyer comparing mirror and brushed finishes should ask whether the same model and component can be shown in both finishes. Different shapes would confound the finish decision. A retail pack evaluation needs the requested piece count and pack style; one loose spoon cannot demonstrate the final set presentation. Ask the supplier to identify any unavailable combination rather than treating a sample photograph as proof of production feasibility.
Request separate confirmation of sample availability, fee, timing and whether a later production sample will be needed. Once items arrive, the sample approval guide explains how to record the accepted reference, while the finish comparison card helps evaluate surface variants. Send the scope sheet through the enquiry page with the intended order quantity and destination. Do not label a request “approved” before the physical or documented comparison is complete.
