Quality Control for Stainless Steel Cutlery and Kitchenware

Agree quality requirements for the exact product, component, material batch and destination. Request supporting documents before making compliance claims about an order.

Approve the inspection brief

Specify dimensions, weights, edges, finish, logo, set composition and packing against the approved sample. Agree sampling methods, tolerances and acceptance criteria in writing. This page does not claim a universal AQL or certified test result.

Factory systems and audits

A factory audit or management-system certificate concerns the named organisation and its stated scope. When requesting one, confirm the issuer, number, applicable entity, scope, issue date and expiry date. It does not substitute for product-specific testing.

Product and material documents

A product test report concerns the identified sample and test conditions. Request the report number, date, model, material or batch reference, destination requirements and test scope. Do not assume a report for a different model or material covers your order.

Before you approve production

Match the approved sample to the order specification. Confirm what records and inspection arrangements are available, who carries out any additional testing, and the timing and costs. Availability must be agreed for the project.

  • Do not treat a steel grade as proof of food-contact compliance.
  • Separate existing documentation from testing that still needs arranging.
  • Use only current documents within their stated scope.
  • Ask for model-specific care and cleaning guidance.
